Seed Syllable explores the relationship between language, landscape and material. Fifty writing systems from around the world are paired with eleven original watercolour inks, each made from foraged materials gathered in the regions where those languages are spoken.

The artwork is reproduced as archival pigment prints on 28 gsm Tosa Washi using Epson UltraChrome inks, balancing the permanence of fine art printing with the character of the original handmade inks.
