Six special design bindings for the Chinese edition of “Custodians of the Scholar's Way” published by Paragon Book, Beijing.

In Custodians of the Scholar's Way, Marcus Flacks continues his explorations into the great traditions of Chinese artisanal art.  The book examines and contextualizes more than two hundred masterpieces, each of which was an element of the classical Chinese scholar's studio.

The cover design is inspired by the texture of the objects depicted inside the book.
